To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China-US diplomatic relations, the China General Chamber of Commerce Chicago Chapter cordially invites you to join us for a cocktail reception with a screening of Better Angels, the new documentary film by Oscar-winning director, Malcolm Clarke. Keynote speakers of the event include Mr. LIU Jun, Acting Consul General of Consulate General of the PRC in Chicago and Mr. Pin Ni, Chairman of CGCC-Chicago and President of Wanxiang America. The CGCC-Chicago Chapter hopes to take this opportunity to promote bilateral cultural exchange and help move the China-US relationship forward. As a bonus, we will also be inviting Mrs. Sarah Lande, author of the memoir Old Friends: The Xi Jinping-Iowa Story to the reception. Mrs. Lande will sign her book and bring to us the memories with President Xi during his visit to Iowa in 1985. Light dinner and wine pairing will be provided at the reception. Self-parking is available at $9 with validation at the Chicago History Museum.
