On February 1, 2018, CGCC Chicago, Grant Thornton, Nikkei Asian Review, and The Financial Times held an economics seminar “Focus on Asia” at the Grant Thornton Chicago office. HONG Lei, Consul General of China in Chicago gave the welcome remarks. Shang Lu, the vice chairman of CGCC Chicago and Executive Director of Hepalink USA Inc. delivered a speech on behalf of CGCC Chicago. Demetri Sevastopulo, the President of The Financial Times Washington DC bureau, addressed the Asian affairs under the new U.S. Government. This seminar was aimed to provide a platform for all the investors from China, India, Japan, and other Asian countries, as well as U.S. companies invested in Asia to communicate. The event was well attended by CGCC Chicago members and its friends from all fields.
