CGCC and Greater Chicago Food Depository Facility Tour and Food Drive
2019 is the year of “Social Responsibility” of CGCC Chicago. Partnered with local charitable organizations, a variety of social responsibility programs and events are in full swing.
Greater Chicago Food Depository is one of the key partners of CGCC. GCFD has been aiming to end the hunger in Chicago and Cook County and is committed to providing lasting solutions to those they serve. Under the support and special donations of CGCC Foundation, GCFD invites members and partners of CGCC to participate in the following activities to fight together against hunger in our community:
Facility Tour and Food Drive
1/30/2019 2:00pm – 3:30pm
4100 W Ann Lurie Pl, Chicago, IL 60632
The Food Depository invites CGCC to visit its facility in Archer Heights. Attendees will tour of the Food Depository’s 268,000 square foot warehouse to get a behind the scenes look of how the food bank works.
To accompany this visit, CGCC can facilitate a virtual food drive through the Food Depository’s convenient online portal here: . Thanks to the Food Depository’s bulk purchasing power, every dollar contributed helps provide three meals for the community’s most vulnerable populations.
The Food Depository invites representatives from CGCC to attend a site visit to see the program in action. Additionally, a generous philanthropic contribution of $5,140 from CGCC Foundation would support the program, creating another level of meaningful impact as part of the Chamber’s community involvement.
