CGCC Chicago Leads 2026 China Roadshow & U.S. Midwest Delegation to China

October 14th, 2026

CGCC Chicago announces its 2026 China Roadshow & U.S. Midwest Delegation to China, bringing together senior leaders from U.S. government, business, and civic sectors for a week of high-level engagement across China from October 12–16, 2026.

Organized by CGCC Chicago and World Business Chicago, with the China Investment Promotion Agency serving as host, the delegation is focused on strengthening U.S.-China economic and trade relations through government dialogue, executive engagement, and industry collaboration.

Under the theme “Exploring Physical AI, Smart Manufacturing, and Next-Generation Partnerships,” the mission highlights opportunities for cooperation in emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing, investment, and cross-border business development. The program includes meetings with government officials, industry exchanges, company visits, and discussions designed to deepen mutual understanding and identify practical opportunities for future collaboration.

The delegation began its official program in Beijing on October 12th, where members met with officials from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce for discussions on U.S.-China economic engagement, business cooperation, and future opportunities for bilateral collaboration.

Later that day, delegates participated in the “Creating the Future Together” U.S.-China Industry Exchange and Physical AI Summit at Beijing’s Robot Mall. The delegation toured the facility and learned more about China’s latest developments in embodied intelligence, robotics, and smart manufacturing. Through site visits and industry dialogue, participants explored emerging applications of Physical AI and discussed potential opportunities for U.S. and Chinese companies to collaborate in technology innovation, market development, and commercial partnerships.
