Job Title: Associate Director of Accounting

Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000
Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Accounting will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and strategic accounting
initiatives for a mid-sized manufacturing company. This role requires strong leadership in financial operations,
budgeting, auditing, and compliance while working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate
must be fluent in Mandarin to effectively collaborate with global stakeholders and ensure seamless
communication with corporate offices and suppliers in China and other Mandarin-speaking regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international accounting regulations.
• Manage internal / external financial audits and tax return, including liaising with auditors and
regulatory bodies.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial risks.
Strategic Planning & Analysis
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
• Assist in budget forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control measures to optimize financial
performance.
• Analyze financial trends and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and
profitability.
International Financial Operations & Mandarin Communication
• Communicate effectively with corporate finance teams, suppliers, and stakeholders in China using
Mandarin.
• Support transfer pricing strategies and international financial policies.
ERP & Financial Systems Management
• Deep working knowledge and experience on QuickBooks
• Experience with MISys is a plus
• Identify opportunities to enhance automation and reporting efficiencies through system
improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• CPA or MBA is highly desirable.
• 7-10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a manufacturing
environment.
• Prior experience working in a multinational organization is a plus.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
• Advanced skills in QuickBooks, MS Office Suite, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.
Language & Communication Skills
• Fluent in Mandarin (written & spoken) – required for international collaboration.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills to communicate with executives, vendors, and
stakeholders.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
