CGCC Chicago Leads U.S. Midwest Business Delegation to China 2025: Exploring Investment, Trade, and Innovation Opportunities (Part 1)

美国中国总商会芝加哥率领中西部工商界代表团2025访华：探索投资、贸易与创新机遇（上篇）

From September 8 to 16, 2025, the China General Chamber of Commerce U.S.A. – Chicago (CGCC Chicago) organized a business delegation to China, comprising U.S. business leaders, lawyers, and executives from member companies. The weeklong visit, themed “Exploring Investment, Trade, and Innovation Opportunities,” covered major Chinese cities including Xiamen, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, focusing on subnational economic cooperation, innovation, and bilateral business opportunities.

2025年9月8日至16日，美国中国总商会芝加哥（CGCC Chicago）组织美国中西部代表团赴中国访问，成员包括企业领袖、律所合伙人及会员企业高管。此次为期一周的行程以 “探索投资、贸易与创新机遇” 为主题，覆盖厦门、广州、深圳及成都等主要城市，重点关注中美地方经贸合作、创新发展及双边商业机会。

Xiamen 厦门：Connecting through CIFIT and Industry Leaders 参与投洽会与产业领袖交流

The delegation began its trip in Xiamen on September 8–9, coinciding with the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), one of the world’s largest investment events. Delegates participated in sessions on U.S.–China provincial cooperation and visited leading local enterprises. Highlights included a visit to Hithium Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. to discuss clean energy collaboration, a roundtable with C&D Inc. on “Innovation, Risk Management, and New Pathways for Chinese Investment in the U.S.,” and site visits to Innovax Biotech, a pioneer in vaccine development, and Golden Home, a leading cabinet manufacturer.

代表团于9月8日至9日抵达厦门，恰逢中国国际投资贸易洽谈会（CIFIT）举行。代表团出席中美地方经贸合作交流会，并走访重点企业。亮点包括考察全球领先的储能企业厦门海辰储能科技股份有限公司（Hithium Energy Storage），探讨中美清洁能源合作；与厦门建发股份有限公司（C&D Inc.）举行圆桌会议，讨论“中国企业赴美投资的新机遇”；并参观疫苗与生物科技领域先锋企业厦门万泰沧海生物技术有限公司（Innovax Biotech）及知名橱柜制造商金牌橱柜（Golden Home）。

Guangzhou & Foshan 广州与佛山：Showcasing Manufacturing and Green Innovation 展示制造业与绿色创新实力

On September 10–11, the delegation traveled to Foshan and Guangzhou, two of China’s manufacturing hubs. Visits included Midea Group, HSG Laser, Tinci Materials, and Mino Equipment Co., where discussions focused on smart manufacturing, robotics, and green materials. The delegation also met with officials from the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou to exchange perspectives on subnational economic collaboration and bilateral investment.

9月10日至11日，代表团前往佛山与广州两大制造业重镇。代表团走访美的Midea集团、宏石激光（HSG Laser）、天赐高新材料股份有限公司（Tinci Materials）及广州明珞装备股份有限公司（Mino Equipment），围绕智能制造、机器人及绿色材料展开交流。同时，代表团拜访美国驻广州总领事馆官员，探讨中美地方经贸合作与双边投资机会。

Shenzhen 深圳：Spotlight on Technology and Innovation 聚焦科技与创新前沿

On September 12, the delegation visited Shenzhen, China’s leading innovation hub, engaging with XtalPi (AI-driven pharmaceutical company), Capchem Technology (lithium battery materials leader), Han’s Robot (robotics manufacturer), and Sunwoda Electronics (EV battery producer). Discussions emphasized AI, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing collaborations between Chinese enterprises and U.S. Midwest industrial partners.

9月12日，代表团抵达中国科技创新中心深圳，参访晶泰科技（XtalPi）、新宙邦科技（Capchem Technology）、大族机器人（Han’s Robot）及欣旺达电子（Sunwoda Electronics），就人工智能、清洁能源及先进制造合作展开交流，推动中国企业与美国中西部产业伙伴对接。

Chengdu 成都：Deepening Cooperation and Cultural Exchange 深化合作与文化交流

The final stop in Chengdu on September 15–16 featured meetings with local officials and visits to high-tech industrial zones. Delegates also visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, highlighting cultural diplomacy and friendship between China and the U.S.

9月15日至16日，代表团抵达成都，拜会当地政府领导，考察高新技术产业园区，并参观成都大熊猫繁育研究基地。

Beijing 北京：Cultural Diplomacy and Further Economic Engagement 文化外交与经贸拓展

After Chengdu, the delegation returned to Beijing to meet with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). These visits underscored the delegation’s commitment to cultural exchange, people-to-people diplomacy, and expanding bilateral economic cooperation.

成都行程结束后，代表团返回北京，拜访中国人民对外友好协会（CPAFFC）及中国国际贸易促进委员会（CCPIT）。此行进一步强调了代表团在文化交流、民间外交及中美经贸合作拓展方面的承诺。

Looking Ahead 展望未来

The delegation concluded the weeklong roadshow with reflections on collaboration opportunities and an invitation to attend the CGCC Chicago 9th Annual Gala on November 13, 2025, themed “Charting New Horizons,” to continue promoting U.S.–China business engagement.

代表团在总结访问成果的同时，邀请各方出席将于2025年11月13日在芝加哥举办的CGCC第九届年会，主题为“开创新航程（Charting New Horizons）”，继续推动中美商业合作。
