On June 19th, CGCC-Chicago held a welcoming reception for the National Men’s Volleyball Team of China, who have arrived in Chicago for the Four Nations League Tournament. Joining them were Richard Michael Daley, former mayor of Chicago; Jian Zhao, Consul General of the Consulate General of China in Chicago; Pin Ni, President of Wanxiang America Corporation and Chairman of CGCC-Chicago as well as Jie Li, Executive Director of CGCC-Chicago.
Volleyball teams from University of Chicago, Northwestern University and University of Illinois also took part. CIIC, CRRC Sifang America, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Wells Plumbing & Heating Supplies, as well as Locke Lord attended the reception as CGCC members. The reception was hosted by Xin He from Wanda Group. All participants gave China’s National Men’s Volleyball Team a warming welcome.
Following the reception, CGCC-Chicago and Wanxiang America invited the Team to cruise down Chicago River and see the beautiful city skyline from Michigan Lake. CGCC-Chicago sees the coming Four Nations League Match as an opportunity for communication between people of China and the States and wish the China National Men’s Volleyball Team best of luck in the upcoming tournament.
