On October 30, 2018, the staff from China General Chamber of Commerce-Chicago and some student and social enterprises employee volunteers participated at a two-hour volunteer service at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. At the CGCC-Chicago Annual Meeting in September, Mr Kate Meyer, the Vice President of Community Building at the Greater Chicago Food Storage Center announced that Food Depository warmly welcomes member enterprises at CGCC-Chicago for a series of meaningful volunteer service projects. It is a good opportunity for CGCC-Chicago’s member enterprises to serve the local communities and achieve corporate social responsibility. Indeed, it is a new concept to incorporate corporate social responsibility into a company’s strategy for achieving good public relations and government. Hence, CGCC-Chicago will be organizing a workshop on Public Relations, Government Relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility on November 9. Member enterprises are more than welcome to participate in the discussion and join us at future corporate social responsibility campaigns, in order to establish a good public image and reputation of Chinese enterprises based in the United States.
