On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, the Chinese American Bar Association held a panel discussion on “Doing Business with China” in Chicago. Jeff Koh, from Barack Ferrazzano LLP, delivered welcome remarks. Mr. Hao Tan from Quarles & Brady LLP, Mr. Mike Chu from McDermott Will & Emery and Mr. Yi Zhang from Jun He Law Firm discussed the topics of Chinese investment, cultural and legal considerations, patents, intellectual property, banking, mergers and acquisitions, the US Foreign Investment Commission (CFIUS) etc. Ms. Shufen Zhao, Director of CGCC Chicago, participated as a panelist. She gave a presentation on how CGCC Chicago can help Chinese investors better develop in the United States. She said that Chinese investors not only brought business but also created jobs and tourism revenues to the US. She looks forward to furthering the business ties and cooperation between China and the US.
