Following the preliminary business roadshow earlier in September, the China General Chamber of Commerce U.S.A. – Chicago (CGCC Chicago) organized a second high-level U.S. Midwest delegation to China from September 22 to 26, 2025. This 18-member group comprised senior corporate leaders, former government officials, and civic representatives, who embarked on a strategic itinerary through Beijing, Hangzhou, and Hong Kong, engaging with national ministries, local authorities, and leading enterprises to explore advanced investment, trade, and innovation opportunities.
继九月初的前期商务团访问后，美国中国总商会芝加哥（CGCC Chicago）于2025年9月22日至26日组织第二支高层中西部代表团赴中国。代表团由18位美国企业界高管、前政府官员及民间组织代表组成，行程覆盖北京、杭州及香港，与国家部委、地方政府及重点企业进行深入交流，探讨先进投资、贸易及创新合作机会。
Beijing 北京：Engaging National Ministries and Policy Leaders 会见国家部委与政策领导
The delegation’s visit began in Beijing on September 22 with meetings at the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the China Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA), discussing opportunities for U.S.–China local economic collaboration. Delegates also visited the U.S. Embassy to strengthen bilateral engagement.
9月22日，代表团在北京拜会中国外交部、商务部、及投资促进事务局（CIPA），就中美地方经济合作进行深入交流，并访问美国驻华大使馆。
On September 23, the delegation attended the “Embracing a New Future — China-U.S. Local Industry Exchange Conference” at Zhongguancun Exhibition Center in Haidian District. CGCC Chicago Chairman Pin Ni, Deputy Mayor of Chicago Kenya Merritt, former Governor of Missouri Eric Greitens, and former White House Advisor Eric Branstad delivered keynote addresses. The forum featured over 30 local enterprises, offering presentations on cutting-edge technologies and opportunities for collaboration with U.S. Midwest companies.

Hangzhou 杭州：Showcasing Advanced Manufacturing and Digital Trade 展示先进制造与数字贸易
From September 24 to 25, the delegation traveled to Hangzhou, visiting DeepRobotics, Supcon Technology Park, Unitree Robotics, and the Wanxiang Group Headquarters. Delegates observed the city’s innovation-driven manufacturing ecosystem and engaged in discussions with senior executives about cross-border investment and technology transfer.
9月24日至25日，代表团前往杭州，参访云深处、中控科技园、宇树科技及万向集团总部，深入了解当地创新驱动的制造业生态，并与企业高管就跨境投资与技术转移进行交流。
The visit coincided with the opening of the Global Digital Trade Expo, where delegates attended a welcome dinner hosted by local government officials. CGCC Chicago partners, including Zhongguancun M&A Fund and Zhongmen, facilitated networking sessions to explore collaboration in digital economy, smart manufacturing, and clean energy.

Hong Kong 香港：Exploring AI and Technology Opportunities 探讨人工智能与科技合作
The final leg of the trip took place in Hong Kong on September 26, with visits to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government. Delegates participated in a business forum hosted by the Hong Kong Jockey Club at the University of Chicago’s Francis and Rose Yuen Campus, focusing on artificial intelligence and emerging technology partnerships. The forum featured campus tours, roundtable discussions, and networking events, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a hub for U.S.–China business collaboration.
9月26日，代表团抵达香港，访问香港贸发局及中央人民政府驻香港特别行政区联络办公室（中联办）。代表团出席在芝加哥大学香港校区由香港赛马会主办的商务论坛，聚焦人工智能及新兴科技合作。论坛包括校园参观、圆桌讨论及交流活动，进一步凸显香港在中美商务合作中的枢纽作用。
Looking Forward 展望未来
The delegation successfully strengthened connections between U.S. Midwest business leaders and Chinese counterparts, exploring practical avenues for investment, trade, and technological cooperation. CGCC Chicago extended invitations for the 9th Annual Gala in Chicago on November 13, 2025, themed “Charting New Horizons,” to continue fostering transpacific business engagement.
此次代表团圆满完成行程，进一步加强美国中西部企业界与中国企业及政府的联系，探索投资、贸易与科技合作的实际路径。CGCC Chicago同时邀请代表团成员出席将于2025年11月13日在芝加哥举办的第九届年会，主题为“赋能 · 突破 · 共赢 — 携手创未来”（Apply Advance Achieve – Driving Forward Together）”，延续中美企业交流与合作。
