On December 4, 2018, a delegation of Chinese enterprises which are members of CGCC-Chicago visited Aurora City, a western suburb of Chicago with representatives from the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago. Representatives from the Consulate and Aurora City Mayor Irvin led the delegation members to visit the Pacific Place, a subsidairy of the Lianfeng Group in Aurora. Mr. Lingju Ni, the developer of Pacific Place and the chairman of Lianfeng Group, gave a speech on project planning and concept of development concept of Pacific Place. The delegation also visited Shengrui North America, another notable Chinese-owned company in Aurora. Ms Hannah Han, Head of Shengrui North America, introduced the fast pace approach for the development of the company under globalization and diversification. After that, the delegation visited the outlets in Aurora, Aurora Airport and the Aurora City Centre. In the city hall of Aurora, Consul General Liu Jun presented the Aurora government officials a pig doll, which represents the upcoming Chinese Year of Pig in 2019, in order to promote cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
