The China General Chamber of Commerce- U.S.A. Chicago (CGCC Chicago) recently met with a delegation from Hubei, China. CGCC Chicago will be further dedicated to helping explore bilateral trade opportunities in the agricultural industry between Hubei and the United States.
“In Shilipu, a small town in Hubei, we produced over 10 million chicken products last year with raw chickens imported from the United States,” said Kexiong Liu, deputy mayor of Jinmen, Hubei. “Chicken feet, chicken gizzard, and chicken hearts – those are the waste in the United States, but they are popular specialty foods in Hubei.”
Liu demonstrated the long-lasting reciprocity between the United States and China. Reciprocity is the foundation of any successful win-win relationship.
Besides raw chicken, soy and corn are the other two major imports from the United States to Hubei. Meanwhile, dried mushrooms, tea, and herbs are the major products exported from Hubei to the world.
“We seek to expose local high-quality products to the world and introduce Hubei to an international platform.” Said Keqiang Xiang, deputy director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Hubei.
For years, CGCC Chicago has devoted itself to consolidating business collaborations between the United States and China. With over 400 members on board, CGCC Chicago is confident in connecting complementary industries in the United States.
In addition to business communications, the delegation from Hubei also introduced the breathtaking landscape, natural resources, and talent market.
“We embrace collaborations with the United States, both commercially and culturally,” said Xiang.

“在去年，仅湖北十里铺镇一个小镇，我们就用美国进口的生鸡肉生产了超过1000万只风风干鸡。”湖北省荆门市副市长刘克雄说，“鸡爪、鸡胗和鸡心在美国会被废弃，但在湖北却是受欢迎的特色食品。”
刘克雄表明了中美之间持久的互惠关系。互惠是任何成功的双赢关系的基础。
除了生鸡肉外，大豆和玉米是从美国出口到湖北的另外两个主要商品。与此同时，干蘑、茶叶和药材是湖北对外出口的主要产品。
湖北省农业厅副厅长项克强表示：“我们希望将当地的优质产品推向世界，将湖北引入国际平台。”
多年来，美中总商会芝加哥致力于巩固中美之间的商业合作关系。拥有超过400名会员，商会有信心连接美国互补的产业。
除了商务交流外，湖北代表团还介绍了湖北的秀丽景观、自然资源和人才市场。
